That's why a Blenderhead has to rotate imported files from non Blender sources 90° to put Z on Z. They use a film horizontal camera system setup like a live action dolly or a miniature camera setup with the Z axis horizontal standing for 'zoom' which is what we called it a horizontal animation setup. Blender is the exception because Ton used the normal Cartesian coordinate system which other software didn't do. Even the setup of the 3D space goes back to film. They actually think the terms originated for the computer crowd. It's truly amazing how much of the stuff we did back then is imbedded inside computer graphics today and none of the 'new kids' realize it. That's "Superman" style titles years before "Superman" came out and on a manual camera system to boot. Hell, I actually started on a hand crank animation stand. It wasn't even called 'motion graphics' back then. That was 'motion control' and was used in miniature photography and 'motion graphics'. Back when computers only controlled the movement of the camera and art or miniature and we shot it on 35mm or 65mm film. My graphics days date from rubber cement and xacto blades. You do the graphics and they do the code. But they may need a catalog or brochure and somebody has to design it. ![]() They buy pre-made stuff because they can't design and/or don't want to spend the time doing it. You should start to look for clients where you live. I haven't done graphics work professionally in a while so don't worry about that. I've been using it since 2.5 came out and they got rid of that awefull 2.49 UI.
